September 20, 2009 - 12:43 PM [...] I love hand corrected proofs, something that will soon be retro if the trend toward digital proofing continues. In my personal experience, when I take pictures of friends and family and burn them a disk or e-mail them a digital file, it gets lost. I send it again and a year later when they ask, “where is that photo you took when,” and then again and again. On the other hand, give someone a tangible photograph and if they lose it, at least it’s in the box of loose prints that lives in their closet and not gone for good if you no longer have the file. Plus, your wedding invitations just won’t look right glued into your collage style coffee table book! [...]
